Plascon Bituminous Aluminium Paint is a single pack bitumen and alkyd-based aluminium paint with excellent flow and brilliance. 100 Percent Acrylic Paint. This type of polymer-based, water-soluble paint will prevent your lines from lifting off the asphalt once you've painted them down. You can apply this paint with a brush, roller or sprayer. Since this paint is water-based, it will cause no damage to the asphalt surface underneath. Because asphalt is an oil-based surface, it is ill-suited for paint adhesion. If you attempt to paint your asphalt driveway with conventional paints, you soon will end up with paint failure. Fortunately, you can use a tinted sealer to alter the color and appearance of an asphalt driveway. Apply primer to the area before you paint. Buy asphalt or concrete primer at your local hardware or paint store. Use a roller with an extended handle to apply the primer to the area.
